112. Incubator

Some South American tree frogs dig a nest pit in the bank of

a pond or stream such that water can seep into the pit.

This creates a natural under-water-incubator in which the young ones are kept warm.

These incubators also protects the young from the predators

which might lurk in the larger and more open areas of water.
